Perhaps too quaint a notion in today’s fast-paced news business, Chris Halsne believes journalism remains a powerful vehicle to give a voice to the voiceless and hold the powerful accountable for bad acts, while creating memorable stories an audience finds difficult to forget.
His specialties include cold-case crimes, systemic animal abuse, government corruption, and the dark side of sports. He’s invested in a variety of formats, from five-minute news segments to half-hour and hour prime-time special reports, to a documentary-length feature film. A rarity on television news, Halsne also uses computer-assisted reporting skills to discover facts not known by analyzing large sets of data.
